- Serial entrepreneur in the plastics industry, started several plastic technology companies across US in New and Canada, ranging in size from 5 million to 34 million USD in sales.
- General Manager at Combustion Engineering Environmental (now ABB) and was President of an engineering services company in Flemington, NJ called Andersen Engineering Services.
- Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Bombay, MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut (1972), and in Engineering Administration from the University of Utah (1974).
- Instrumental in several public service initiatives: (i) co-chair of the Water initiative of WHEELS Global Foundation, a US non-profit started by IIT alumni residing in the US. (ii) volunteer mentor of SCORE Central Jersey, a non-profit resource arm of the US Small Business Administration. (iii) Past President of IIT Bombay Heritage Foundation and the former President of IIT Bombay Alumni Association Greater New York. (iv) President of IIT Gandhinagar Foundation.
- Has led several initiatives like (i) Clean Drinking water projects in rural and remote villages of India, (ii) Chair Professorship, Student exchange program, Student Scholarship scheme at IIT Bombay,(iv) Student Innovation program at IIT Gandhinagar and so on.
