WIN Support to COVID 19 – Relief Efforts

Saath Ration Kit Support for Communities of Ahmedabad, Gujarat

WIN made a contribution to  Saath Charitable Trust  for Support to vulnerable households during Covid Lockdown. Saath In order to help vulnerable households to  overcome the challenge of procuring monthly Ration, SAATH is distributing Ration Kits (oil, grains, pulses, sugar, salt and basic supplies) to families residing in the slum areas. To meet these immediate need of ration and basic supplies, each Ration Kit costs Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1,200/-.

Support for Vulnerable Needy families in Kutch during Covid-19

WIN made a contribution to Kutch Mahila Vikas Sangathan (KMVS), Bhuj, Kutch, Gujarat (Associated with Arid Communities and Technologies)  for Support to vulnerable needy households during Covid Lockdown. COVID 19 pandemic and the lockdown in response is severely impacting the daily wage earner. Their livelihood is gone, leaving them and their dependent women, elders and children along with themselves highly vulnerable. KMVS is supporting families with a support of Rs. 3000/- per family for basic food ration.

Nutrition content of ration kits

Our collaboration building outreach efforts played a role in seeking and getting timely advice from nutrition experts for our NGO partners, on need to add locally available grocery items to kits to balance the nutrition, primarily to add proteins and micronutrients, to a carbohydrate heavy content of the kit.  We spread this communication among our partners and the other community organizations in touch with us.  Many of them adopted relevant suggestions. This will critically help the young mothers and children in the families getting this support to fight against malnutrition.

Amneal Pharmaceuticals donate 3.4 million hydroxychloroquine tablets in US to fight Covid-19.

Amneal Pharmaceuticals, the company founded by Mr. Chirag Patel and Chintu Patel, has donated 3.4 million hydroxychloroquine tablets to various US state government agencies and hospitals in effort to fight the Covid-19 pandemic. Amneal is a major producer of hydroxychloroquine. Mr. Chirag Patel is the Founder and Chairman of WIN Foundation.

“All of us at Amneal Pharmaceuticals are committed to assisting our communities in the global fight against COVID-19,” said Chirag Patel, Co-CEO of Amneal Pharmaceuticals.

Parisodhana among top 10-12 startups selected for session "Innovations contributing to National Missions: Water | Swach Bharat |Nutrition | Ayushman Bharat" at Global Bio India 2019

Parisodhana was one among the top 10-12 startups from Indian ecosystem shortlisted for the session `Innovations contributing to National Missions: Water | Swach Bharat |Nutrition | Ayushman Bharat” at Global Bio India 2019  organised by the Department of Biotechniology, Government of India, on 22nd November, 2019.
